O conceito de convenção cinematográfica de David Bordwell: a limitação do arbitrário

O artigo discute o conceito de convenção cinematográfica de David Bordwell, construído a partir das críticas que o autor faz às vertentes naturalista e construtivista da teoria do cinema, especialmente à aplicação que os pesquisadores da área fizeram do princípio da arbitrariedade do signo de Saussure. Tem como objetivo fazer uma revisão críticados marcos teóricos e disputas conceituais que levaram Bordwell a defender a convenção como um universal contingente. Por fim, reflete acercado funcionamento de diferentes tipos de convenção, organizadas por Bordwell num continuum que parte de gatilhos sensoriais e formas transculturais em direção a sistemas recônditos.Downloads
