This text was originally published in Revista Piauí (issue no. 180, September 2021), and kindly provided (by the magazine and the author) to Rebeca to integrate the dossier Iracema, 50 years later. In it, Orlando Senna recovers several stories behind the filming of Iracema - uma transa amazônica (1974), with a very personal account of the experience of making the film. In the set of texts in the dossier, Senna's memories allow a precise understanding of the relationships between the challenges of production and the country's political context.
