Abstract

Interview conducted in 2025 with Felipe Macedo, former director of film Brazilian distributor Dinafilme, who has been dedicated to Cinema and cineclubism for more than 50 years. Macedo discusses his trajectory in Film, summarizes his involvement in writing blogs and articles on the memory of Brazilian cineclubism, describes the role of the Cinemateca Brasileira in the creation of Dinafilme, and recounts the Dinafilme’s operations, as well as the censorship and seizures it faced in 1977 and 1979. In addition, he analyzes the current scenario of accessibility to film clubs and national distribution, debating the importance of public policies in Brazil and the need for more plural environments.
