Abstract

Este artigo pretende investigar as relações entre a série televisiva House of Cards (Beau Willimon, Netflix, 2013-2018) e o "mundo real" do qual comenta e no qual participa, analisando tanto como elementos extradiegéticos são trazidos para dentro do mundo ficcional, quanto como a série é apropriada pelo seu público para comentar sobre sua própria conjuntura.

Atualmente doutorando pelo Programa em Meios e Processos Audiovisuais da Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo, é mestre pela mesma instituição. Possui graduação em Ciências Sociais pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da mesma Universidade.
