Este artigo parte de um contexto de mudança de paradigma no que diz respeito ao arquivo, assim como da emergência de novas formas de experimentar a memória através da arte do cinema. Partimos da hipótese de que são as práticas experimentais de found footage, produzidas a partir dos anos 90, as que melhor expressam certas percepções da história mais férteis, a nosso ver, para ampliar as conexões entre imagens e mundos diversos, as mais compatíveis com os tempos atuais, as que se esquivam de uma lógica linear em favor de um pensamento dialético. Para desenvolver nossa hipótese, analisamos e discutimos obras que deslocam o arquivo para ‘lugares’ distintos daqueles em que tradicionalmente estiveram inseridos, como documento ou prova do passado, tal como vemos nos documentários convencionais.Downloads
