Cinema is mediated by representations of toxic, patriarchal, and destructive masculinities of men and women in its productions. Contemporary scripts and films have developed in them liminaries permeated by gender, economic, and socio-environmental triggers. Climate change evidenced in the accumulation of irreversible effects, in the hierarchy of natural and interstellar spaces, and the impacts of vulnerable communities and subjects are also masculinizing reflections of androcentrism mobilized in the degradation of the planetary ecosystem. The script and film narratives Interstellar (Nolan; Nolan, 2014; Interstellar, 2014) constitute a denunciation of the extreme desire of economic elites to abandon the globe and be lost in the universe in search of a new terraformation under unknown and adverse water and oxygen conditions. The purpose of this scientific article is to discuss the intermediations of toxic hegemonic discourses and intersubjectivities, disjunctive and disruptive of the characters' profession and gender on the part of the scriptwriters and director, to cross them through academic-scientific assumptions and assertions of indigenous knowledge of environmental care and compassion in favor of the common home, the Earth. In this way, we will demonstrate that the climatic masculine and feminine repertoire of educators envisages solutions to attempts to save the species, represented in the astronaut characters, to the detriment of humanity and non-human nature, incapacitated and averse to destruction and death on our planet.
